Weather Update & Campus Procedures
Normal Operating Conditions

February 9, 2010

Currently, we are in a lull from the snow for this afternoon and early this evening. The low front that caused all of the morning snow, will turn over the Great Lakes and is expected to bring more snow through Wednesday. Winds are expected to pick-up later this evening causing snow drifting and blowing snow.

We will continue to monitor the winter weather situation. Should it become necessary to cancel classes for the tomorrow or post a delay in opening at normal time, you will be alerted through the following means. No notification, means that we report as normal.

1) Our campus-wide mass notification system will be utilized to alert you between 5:30 and 6 a.m. in the morning by text message, voice mail on your cell or home phone providing you signed up to be part of the system.

2) A regular campus e-mail will be sent out to all faculty and staff.

3) Information will be posted on local media: WDTN-TV 2, WHIO-TV 7 and the CDR Radio Network(90.3 FM Dayton/Springfield).

Please refer to the Campus Safety website link under Emergency Closing for specific closing definitions and details.

Snow Removal:
Campus snow removal crews will be leaving this evening and will not return until the early morning hours on Wednesday.
